Keynote speaker:  Greg Shipley, Chief Technology Officer for Neohapsis

Everyone is talking about Cloud Computing these days. According to Gartner, “Cloud computing” is a style of computing where scalable and elastic IT-related capabilities are provided “as a service” to external customers using Internet technologies We are constantly bombarded by the promises of this new "computing paradigm."  It would be impossible not to notice the growth of Google during the past few years as they provide applications in the cloud.  The cloud concept promises more options for changing choices and for flexibility in which services are most appropriate at the moment of need.   There are still many questions to be answered like the following:

What are the differences between SaaS, hosted applications, and Cloud Computing?
How will Cloud Computing affect my business?
Will your business grow and transform because of it?
Can Cloud Computing be internal only or within registered communities?

Organizations choosing a path of "in the cloud" should be aware of the methods of adequately vetting this new class of provider and some of the important but less understood risks that come with them. Join Greg Shipley, Chief Technology Officer for Neohapsis on Friday, October 30th, for an overview of the new "Cloud Models" and a balanced discussion of the key factors organizations should consider when deciding how this trend affects their security and risk profiles.
